Good day,
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Sorry for the delay.
Can I have a picture of the error message when the new VI 4G SIM card was inserted?
May I know the network type of the new 4G SIM card and is it one of the following?
4G: FDD-LTE Cat4 (800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz),
TDD-LTE (2300/2500/2600 MHz)
3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS (900/2100 MHz)
Did the new SIM card work well on the smartphone?
Have you tried to factory reset the modem before input the new SIM card?
Please also make sure the SIM card was firmly inserted on the holder with the sticker?
Thanks a lot.

Hi, the previous issue is that the sim card could not be detected and your case is a little bit different;
As for the poor connectivity, did you refer to the slow speed and unstable connection?
What are the current hardware and firmware versions of your TL-MR6400?
Thank you very much.

Hi, have you checked whether there is an internet IP address under the advanced>status page?
--if not(the IP address is 0.0.0.0), please go to advanced>network>internet>manually create the APN profile;
--if there is a correct IP address, please go to advanced>network>lan settings> change the DNS server to be 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4;
Thank you.
