Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version: V13
Firmware Version:

Hi,

could some explain me how to reach/view the c200 camera from outside the network?

I succesfully downloaded Tapo App, created a TP-Link ID, added the camera, and it works perfectly from inside the lan but the tapo app can't reach it via Internet. Note if I login into www.tplinkcloud.com under my ID account, there is not any cam registered. Thanks

@Luca_Rasca

Good day,

Thanks a lot for your time and patience.

Is there any remote control switch on the camera setting of the Tapo APP?

Did this issue start on the first installation?

Normally, the remote control was enabled by default after setup, and have you tried to reset the camera and set up from the scratches?

If possible, please also change some settings on the home router, such as:

  1. Turn off the firewall on the main router;
  2. Change the DNS server on the router to be 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4;

Thanks a lot.

Hello Broke, thanks for answering.

I'm not aware of any remote control switch on the camera. Could you please explain me better what to look for ? Do you mean a physical switch on the camera ?

Yes I resetted it different times without result.

Done without changes.

I think this is the cause of the problem. My isp gave me a router already configured with his setting, giving me a reduced access as admin that doesn't permit me to change them. Very irritating.

I will tried the C200 on a different isp and I will let you know.

Thank  you
