Use without WIFI connection

Can I use this camera without wifi but using a hotspot with my phone (only mobile data)?

Tapo should be able to connect a common 2.4Ghz hotspot Wi-Fi, but as hotspot Wi-Fi wireless encryption is not uniform there is small chance that camera has difficultly comment to a hotspot. Consider Wi-Fi router has more stable WiFi, we still recommend connect the camera to a Wi-Fi router directly.

After camera is connected to the router WiFi once, you could still watch Live view on tapo APP or via rtsp streaming on PC （PC in the local network) using third party software
PC could not access SD card directly,you will need to insert SD in SD slot or via SD adapter to back up the file .

But some features on camera requires internet to work properly, like the motion detection, time synchronization etc., camera may not get correct time without Internet.
