Range Extenders Support OneMesh/EasyMesh in AP Mode
Hey everyone!
We got some feedback from our community users requesting for Range Extender to support OneMesh/EasyMesh when works as an Access Point.
Currently, OneMesh/EasyMesh is not supported when the extender is set to Access Point Mode. However it is planned to support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul under Range Extender mode.
It will start with RE315_V1 and gradually be added to other EasyMesh-supported extenders.
RE315 Supports EasyMesh Over Ethernet Backhaul
Note:
1. An extender needs to support EasyMesh (over Wi-Fi) first, then supports EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.
2. Ethernet Backhaul only works when both your main router and satellite extender support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.
Other Mesh Options:
Option 1: Deco mesh system supports Ethernet backhaul under both Wireless Router and Access Point modes.

I just purchased RE700X 1.0.3 in India and using it as an AP due to the advantage of it being wall power socket mountable and pretty disappointed that it does not support Onemesh in this mode. I would love to have you to offer OneMesh on Ethernet Backhaul.

I wonder - is ANYONE from TP-Link even replying to ANY community posts? Perhaps @Solla-topee is not even with TP-Link anymore, and we need to add someone else to this thread?

The speaking of this feature is more then 1 1/2 years old!
This topic is now more then a year old!
The question if this feature will be implemented is now asked now many, many times without any feedback from you / TP-Link.
Somebody is even wondering if you are still working at TP-Link, and by looking at your status, yes you are.
So, in short; will this feature implemented? As simple YES or NO will do so that your customers
(you know, the ones who are indirectly paying your salary) have at least an answer.
If YES, then WHEN?
Thank you,
iSybje

It has been more than 1 year since this thread was started - can we please have an update? This is such a heavily requested feature - WHY IS THE TEAM AT TP-LINK NOT IMPLEMENTING THIS?
