Camera are Wi-Fi network clients, not Access Points. The Wi-Fi transmitting and reception capability are very similar on different Tapo camera models.

Would you consider some wired cameras like Tapo C310 that could be wired to the wifi router directly to get stable connection. Or you could consider getting an Access Point (wired to router) to extend Wifi signal in the garage.
