If Tapo camera shows local only,you could try some tips here:
- change Router's DNS to 8.8.8.8/ 8.8.4.4,save the settings on router and reboot camera
- To check if the ' local only' error relates to the phone or SIM card company on the phone. Please connect phone to a different Wi-Fi network, or test when phone on mobile data from a different SIM card company. (this is to see if it's related to a certain ISP or SIM card )
- Confirm Tapo APP and device firmware are both up to date.
- Turn VPN or security apps like AdGuard /Lookout app off
For IOS device, make sure you have give ' local network' permission on your iphone :

Please also test on a different mobile device if you got one, will camera become local only again?
