Hello,

I would like to set up Dynamic DNS using the TP-link DDNS service. For this I need to log in with my TP-Link ID. I navigate to the tab Basic>TP-Link Cloud, where I read: "For more TP-Link Cloud functions, please log in with your TP-Link ID." When I click on the link "TP-Link ID" I expect to see a dialog for user name and ID but nothing happens initially and after a while an error message appears. On Chrome the message is "192.168.0.1 refused to connect". I also tried Firefox and Edge on both Ubuntu and Windows 10, without success.

I am connected to the router with an ethernet cable and I can log into the web interface without a problem using the router password. I have set up a TP-Link ID using the Tether app and tied it to my router. I also tried rebooting, switching on and off, disconnecting all wifi clients and a factory reset, all with no success.

Can anyone help me please?

Many Thanks.

Hello @polecat01

Thank you very much for reaching out to us, and apologies for the late response.

GRL is correct, we’re experiencing a service outage for our Cloud Server at the time when you failed to connect to your TP-Link account, and that has been fixed and recovered already. Please check to see if you can login to your TP-Link ID and configure to use the DDNS now.

At TP-Link, we pride ourselves on providing great service and apologize for any inconvenience this cloud service outage has caused. We appreciate your patience and understanding. As always, if you have questions or issues, please submit them at https://www.tp-link.com/support/contact-technical-support/#Hotline-Support, or comment below to let us know.
