Hi,

We recently got our internet upgraded (with a new router) and our camera can now only be controlled when connected to the same wifi that the camera is connected to, previously we could view it via mobile internet or via a different router. We've had the service provider of the internet out and they have said "they've never came across the problem before" nor can they change the DNS settings of the router (they say their factory set and locked)

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance....

Hi  @DerekC

For this issue, here are some tips that may help!

1. Check if the camera obtained an IP properly.
How to check the IP of the camera:

a) Check the DHCP/client list on the Router and see if there is an IP for the camera with the corresponding MAC address.

b) Download the third-party APP Network Analyzer and use the LAN Scan tool in the local network to see if there is an IP for the camera with a corresponding MAC address.

2. Check if there are any advanced features such as parental control or firewall/QoS function enabled for the camera on the router.

3. Try to connect the camera to router guest network, or mobile hotspot for a test, to see if the problem is still the same.
