Dear TP-Link,

 

Please implerment DNS over HTPPS (DoH) and DNS over TLS (DoT) in your bussiness products.

 

There are multiple bussiness needs to have this implemented and DNS traffic being encrypted these days.

Also needed for good usage of NextDNS / AdGuard and CiscoDNS nowadays.

 

Should not be so hard to implement.

 

 

My Setup:ER707-M2 V1.20, OC200 (Removed SO SLOW!!!!), 6x EAP245 V3.0, 1x EAP225 V3.0, 1x EAP225-Outdoor V3.0, 2x TL-SG2218 V1.20 and 3x ES205G V1.0. We should get discount for trade in OC200!!

Omada Software Controller v5.8 and OC200/OC300 Controller v5.9 has added DNS Proxy (Site Settings > Services ) with DNSSEC, DoH, and DoT supported.

 

Please ensure that both your Omada Controller and Router are updated to the firmware adapted to Controller v5.8 or later version.

 

Note:

For OC200/OC300 controller v5.9, you may need to manually upgrade the firmware via local access as it is a major firmware upgrade.

 

FYI, the following router firmware has added support for DoH and DoT in Controller mode.

ER605 V2_2.1.1 Official Firmware (Released on Jan 30th, 2023)

ER7206 V1_1.3.0 Official Firmware (Released on Mar 28th, 2023)

  I just read that in 5.8.x DoH and DoT are implemented. Now waiting for the ER7206 firmware Good work Guys!

The only thing open for me is IPTV for KPN NL. That should come in 5.9.
