I recently bought a C100 but I was wondering whether the C110 has the ability to use Person Detection rather than just Motion Detection. I can't see how this can be done on the C100. If the C110 does, is Tapo Care a requirement or can it be used if just using an SD card?

Hello, thank you for the post. Tapo C110 supports Person Detection, it's a free feature, Tapo care subscription is not required.

 

If you want to see the recording, SD card or Tapo care (cloud video) is needed. Otherwise, you will only receive a notification when there is a movement and not able to check what was happen.

Thanks for the replies. I have now purchased a C110 in addition to my C100. I feel that the picture quality is actually poorer on the C110. It smooths out everything and doesn't look so sharp and I have tried setting the C110 to 1080P and also 2K. It's also a lot darker. The only thing I prefer is the colours are more accurate.
