Just brought a TP Link Tapo C210 CCTV and trying to configure this CCTV.

Going to few steps successful and the last said " failed to receive ip address"

I am using MaxisHome Fiber at home. 

Need your valued advise to setup this C210 CCTV.

Hello, thank you for the feedback. What's the led status of the camera when this error appears? If it shows solid green, the camera is set up properly, try to re-open the APP and the camera should appear on the homepage. 

 

If it is orange, try to modify the router DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

 

If the led is red, here are some suggestions that may help with your case.

 

1. Move the camera closer to the router, make sure there is a strong and stable WiFi signal.

2. If the WiFi is a combined network with 2.4GHz and 5GHz, please separate the networks and reconfigure the camera to the 2.4GHz WiFi.

3. Make sure the WiFi encrypted type is not WPA3-only. 

4. Check if there are any settings on the router that might block the camera's connection. E.g. parental control, access control (blacklist/whitelist).
