Hi, Thanks for the notification. Though its firmware upgrade cycle might be a little long, Deco X20 V1.2 hasn't been marked as "end of life" on the local official websites yet.
Best regards.

@David-TP Isn't that a bit of an understatement? It hasn't seen a meaningful firmware update in years, and for years we're getting the same response - that you can't give out estimates. It's been almost a year since the firmware update finally came for the M5, and still not even a beta, or even an ETA for a beta on the X20.
And on top of that, not sure if intentional or not, but we're hearing it's not EOL "yet". Could it be EOL'd before you release the firmware update that was promised?

Been three years without any update, Homecare and not Homeshield on the 1.20 (while the V2 has Homeshield..).
You mention "hasn't been marked as "end of life" on the local official websites yet.", are you anticipating end of life for 1.20 soon?

Sorry, I am sincerely sorry for any oversight on my part. Please feel free to leave me a message for notification if you need urgent help next time.
First Deco X20 V2 is still HomeCare, like V1.2. The new firmware is in the release process for Deco X20 V1.2 to optimize the Parental Control performance.
Regarding your question, as the technical support team, determining whether a product line has reached its end-of-life stage falls outside our responsibility. Regardless of the product's status, we are committed to providing support services. However, compared to actively marketed products, the firmware release cycle for older or end-of-life models may take longer than usual.
To be honest, Personally, I would prefer there aren't any EOL products since it would make the support service rather difficult sometimes, like we may lack information on when or where a new firmware version will be available. However, from the company's perspective, the limited life cycle of products is an unavoidable reality.
Thank you very much and best regards.
