  @marioskir93

Please confirm whether you can control the L920-5 remotely with Tapo APP normally while using cellular data or other WiFi?

If this device can only be controlled in the local WiFi network, here are some tips that might help with this issue:

1. Reboot the device manually: unplug and replug Tapo P100

2. Remove Tapo service in Google home APP and reconnect.

(1) How to remove Tapo service <Google Home: Remove third-party account access>

a. Go to the Security section of your Google Account.
b. Under “Third-party apps with account access,” select Manage third-party access.
c. Select the app or service you want to remove.
d. Select Remove Access.

(2) How to connect my Tapo device (smart plug, smart camera, smart lighting) to Google Home

What's the hardware and firmware version of this device (APP> Device Settings >Device Info)?

Have there been any recent updates to your Tapo app, L920's firmware, or the Google Home app?

  @marioskir93

To better assist you, could you please provide more details about the problem you are facing? This information will help me understand the specific issue and provide you with more accurate troubleshooting steps.

In the meantime, here are some general steps you can follow if you're having trouble integrating the LED Strip with Google Home:

  1. Ensure Proper Connection: Make sure that your Tapo L920-5    LED Strip is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Google Home device.

  2. Enable Tapo Skill: Check if you have installed and enabled the Tapo Skill in the Google Home app. To do this, open the Google Home app, go to "Settings," then "Assistant," and select "Home Control." Look for the Tapo Skill and ensure it's linked to your Tapo account.

  3. Sync Devices: If you've recently added the LED Strip to your Tapo account, try syncing devices in the Google Home app. Go to "Settings," then "Assistant," and select "Home Control." Tap on the "+" sign to add new devices and make sure to sync with your Tapo account.

Try unlinking tapo from google home and re-linking it again with all the new devices.
