@Home_Cameras absolutely agreed. All smart devices that can be controlled from a phone should have an interface option to switch network. In this instance, I just set-up an IoT network on my Deco, and would like to switch my camera over to it without having to reinstall! Please do this ASAP.

Everytime when i want to change the WiFi SSID, I need to reset the camera. This is both in TAPO and VIGI Wifi Camera. Can you update the App such way that we can change the SSID without reset the camera

Hi
Currently, if you want to connect your smart device to a new Wi-Fi network, you need to factory reset the device before reconfiguring it. When the device is installed in a hard-to-access location, we recommend that you first put the device online, such as connecting to the original Wi-Fi network, and then delete the device from the Tapo app to reset the device. After that, you can reconfigure the device on the Tapo app to connect to the new Wi-Fi network.

We appreciate your feedback and votes and hope that you can provide more information about the usage scenarios to help us better evaluate and improve this feature. For example, if the camera is in an online or offline state when switching the camera's Wi-Fi.

While we don't have any specific details that I can share about whether this feature can come to the product or when it might, I'll keep logging the feature request and pass it along to the relevant team for evaluation.

Best Regards

I would be perfectly happy for a brief offline period when it switches, but the goal would be to either:

* Enter the WIFI SSID and Password into the Tapo app to tell the bell to connect to the new network, and revert to the previous network if it fails.

* If that's impossible, connect via bluetooth to the bell like at setup to share wifi, but retain all other settings.

* Optionally, if the hardware allows, an option to activate WPS on a router and tell the bell to look for that.

Given how long this has been an issue, it would be really nice to have an update of some kind on whether this is being considered at all, or why it isn't.

Thanks,

Yaz
