We need a feature to switch wifi networks on cameras without resetting, I see the thread https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/615588 open for too long and the feature is not there.

Simply, if the signal of the main router is not strong enough try to connect to another saved wifi network.

Or in my case I wanted to create an SSID for the IoT devices I have and keep the original SSID as it is, (or even changing the password) without the need to reset the cameras.

I've already set the cameras up and configured all what I want to configure even added automation.

I don't want to redo all of that just to change the wifi network!!!

To change the WiFi network of a camera, reset and reconfigure the device is required. Some camera models support a soft reset, which is similar to a factory reset but involves a shorter press of the reset button. For example, on the C510W V2, holding the reset button for 5 seconds performs a soft reset, while holding it for 10 seconds triggers a factory reset. Relevant information can be found in the product's User Guide. TP-Link Download Center

Thanks for the reply,

What exactly will be deleted by the "soft reset" feature? Where can I find this in the documentation?

Actually deleting device from the app is equivalent to a factory reset. My apologies for the mistakes in the previous reply.

Device configuration is still required after a soft reset. You can link the camera to a new Wi-Fi network during the setup process, except that the other camera settings, such as detection and recording settings, remain in place after the setup is complete.
