I need the same feature due to camera location

This is very basic. Currently my camera is watching over a nest and I don't want to manually reset because I dont want to scare the birds. I tried to have the camera offline, but since it was showing the wrong time and i cant select the NTP server (which is another request) I allowed internet for a while, but then it updated... and then i changed my Home Assitant configuration and needed to add the integration again and then it does not work, and now I want to change the network to my usual Wifi (even though I STRONGLY dislike giving internet access to devices that do not need it) but now I can't. Overall, I think you are pushing to things "certain way" (mainly, using the cloud) and that is putting off many users. I think it would be way better to make the device configurable, so each user can use it as they please.

If you enable 'Camera Account' you can then use the RTSP protocol to view your camera *locally* without requiring Internet access.

 

The problem (which TP-Link refuse to address) is changing the WiFi connection details in the camera *WITHOUT* performing a total reset of the camera setup.

Unbelievable that this is open! I wish I knew this limitation before purchasing 5 cameras!
