S220 Wiring
2023-11-07 10:25:54
Hi there,
Any advice on wiring this smart switch (S220) in place of a dum switch with 2 x Live & 2 x Com (2-way / 2-Gang). Obviously the S220 is 1 live in with 2 com out.
Current wiring is the same as below:
Thanks in advance.
Chris.

Isn't that really dangerous as it creates a short circuit and would (hopefully) trip the RCD unit?

@clea I also have individual wiring to each switch like this. Have you had any joy with this yet?

@chrispwoolley annoyingly, no. I haven't quite had the time to test it unfortunately. I'll check soon and let you know.

Better late than never: Nope. If both lamps were in the same room, connected to the same neutral, it would be easy - just connect one of the two phases L to the switch. But in your current setup, the lamps are in different circuits with their own phase and neutral.
