There is currently a class action lawsuit being brought against NordVPN for "deceptive pricing". You'll have to search for it yourself as I cannot post the link here.

 

I believe it is similarly deceptive to sell a camera with an SD card slot, but nowhere in the marketing or technical specs mention that said slot does not allow individual file deletion.

 

It is at this stage quite obvious that Tapo/TP-Link intend this as a deliberate strategy to increase the take up of their subscription based online storage, which does allow individual file deletion.

 

I base this opinion on a two year old thread that consistently tops the "most requested" list, yet fails to be solved.

 

I will be contacting the lawyers who have brought the above case, to see what they think of this situation.

Yes please, not the same thing to erase the whole SD card.

The ability to delete inadvetant or potentially embarrassing content from the SD card without formatting away everything would be a very useful feature to have available. The already written routine to download any event sequence from the card should be the easy portal to also be able to delete rather than copy and send. The only issue would be a delete when you meant to download, but a secondary confirmation could facilitate that.

Could TP-Link hire me for a month, then I would implement the delete functionality, and after that I would quit, so no harm done!

Yes a delete feature for the individual deletion of clips would be great

Its surely a must have ! Why would l want to take out the sd card, load it into a laptop just to delete a single video when i have a app to operate everything else on the camera please 🙏

Option to delete recordings on the SD card would be ideal without reformatting whole thing

It should be a basic function
