The only way iv'e gottent around this is to change the WiFi routers name to the same name as the original name used to set up the Tapo products.
Shame there isnt a feature that is included in the app.

@celeritas_216 Comparte la wifi desde tu móvil. Configura la red wifi con el mismo nombre y contraseña que la de casa. Y solucionado.

Hi,
For when the option to change wifi network via the app?
For external cameras, it´s a bit annoying to have to reset for this purpose, as already mentioned, much cheaper cameras allow you to do this via app.
Best regards

@Solla-topee This is not anykind of "recommended solution", but inane, out-of-the-but solution.
People must be WARNED about this *BEFORE* they buy these cameras.
I will personally make sure to warn people to NOT buy these camera due to this.

Please do include the ability for the network information to be changed without the need to reset cameras to factory mode.
The ability to simply up date the internet network without the need to reconfigure all the cameras is essential. Many of your customers who purchased these cameras have of course located them in secure and high visibility areas (high up). In addition we have fitted the cameras to conceal the power cables and to ensure the cameras cannot be tampered with.
For you to simply stating
- "press the covered reset button to return to factory condition and if this does not work bring the cameras closer to the hub"
I have installed 9 cameras and I pay a monthly subscription. I now discover these cameras are not fit for function and lack this essential key feature. I suspect all your customers took it for granted that if they change their wi-fi provider this would not decommission their primary secure system on their home.
Please sort this out urgently.
Thank you

I tried the suggestion to change the wi-fi name and password to the original settings. It seemed like a really good work around.
Unfortunately this did not work for me, which was a real shame. Thanks for the suggestion.
Is there anything else I should have changed? or any other ideas of how to update with having to get the ladders out would be greatly recieved.
Thanks all and regards

I have one V380 Pro camera, it is way more cheaper than this TPLinks Tapo camera, but have very versatile software/App.
I too mounted this camera to 20 feets above on ceiling, but if I want to change its Wi-Fi network, It can be done easily through its App. You can see in above screenshot. You can even change its wireless connectivity modes, like Station Mode or AP mode.
It is shame that reputed company like TP-Link can not provide such facility. They should provide services of at least the value for which they are charging money from consumers.

@Contraband I really regretted buying a Tp-link camera, because the cameras available for a quarter of the price also run with better software. In the 21st century, you can't change Wi-Fi in one simple step, it's pathetic. But the nonsensical answers from customer service are funny. :-D
