Just installed the doorbell today and realized this setting doesn't exist. Hard to believe in 2025 people are still having to ask for this.

Rich notifications not being free are the only thing stopping me from investing in the Tapo ecosystem

I didn't know this when I bought the doorbell camera. Amcrest has this for free. I will be returning this camera when I get a new amcrest from Amazon 

Literally the same thing with me. Installed tonight, found out about this while setting it up. Buying some other brand and returning this as soon as i get it.

I prefer to only store recordings locally and not being able to quickly see who / what triggered the recording with the notification adds that much more time for bad things to happen. There's already a short delay from the time motion is detected and a notification is sent, so needing to fully load up the app and go to the camera just takes that much more time.
