Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: TL-WN823N(EU)_V3_181024_Win

I have a Windows 7 machine where I have the driver installed for my adapter, the system does recognize it fine and it can see my neighbors wifi, but not mine. I tried changing the wifi channels, rebooting and reinstalling the drivers and connecting it through WPS, but nothing worked.

I also have a Windows 10 maching, where interestingly the wifi adapter worked fine right out of the box and found my wifi, but when I installed the drivers, that's when the same problem occured as on Windows 7.

Is there anything I can do with it to connect it to my wifi?

Hi,

Two things you could try.

1) Check if your router's Wi-Fi is broadcasting on channel 12 or 13. In case it is, then change the channel on the router to anyone from 1 to 11. Some devices/drivers out there have issues with channels 12 and 13.

2) Download and install the "Chipset Driver" from this TP-Link solution. It is probably much newer than the one you installed.

  @woozle

Hi!

1.) I tried all of the channels from 1 to 11, but my pc still doesn't detect the wifi signal at all.

2.) I installed the driver you sent, which made all of the signals disappear. Not even my neighbor's wifi showed up, so I rolled it back and now i'm back to square one.

Is there maybe a setting somewhere I could tinker with?

Thanks for your reply.

There are no settings that need to be adjusted to make a TL-WN823N work. It should just work after installing the driver.

Can you think of any electronic devices that might be causing RF interference near your computers or the Wi-Fi router? If your computer's case has USB ports on back and front, then use the front USB. Also, in case you have any USB 3 (SuperSpeed) devices connected to your computers' USB 3 ports, then disconnect them and see if it makes any difference.
