Implemented Tapo P110M update for Matter 1.3

With the new matter 1.3 support being released containing support for energy monitoring devices like the P110M, when will we see the firmware update support for the new matter standard? I assume that it is planned.
The current matter firmware for the P110M doesn't account for the new 1.3 standard. The P110M being advertised as both an energy monitoring device and matter compatible, there's a huge gap here at the moment because without the new matter standard update; the P110M is just a smart relay.

> Already obtained matter 1.3 certification - specification was released May 2024 - it's taken that long to get certification for something which was already promised prior to customers purchasing?
While I am also waiting for the update and very dissapointed by the lack of communication, I think that this statement is a little unfair. First of all, they had Matter support, before Matter supported energy monitoring. That means, they were allowed to add the Matter logo on the product since it supported everything that Matter was able to do at that time. In my opinion this is a problem in Matter itself, especially as long as the standard lacks a lot of basic functionality. I don't know how this issue could be solved in the standard though.
Also you should not forget, that they had to implement this feature and certify it. The implementation certainly takes some time, especially since it is a free update for a product already on the market. The product sells already and most users probably don't care about Matter that much that the update will increase the sales significantly. Not trying to protect them but without knowing the internal processes needed for such an update, I don't think we should bring up statements like this.
If the device really is certified already (shouldn't there be a page to check that?) the update shouldn't take that long anymore so let's hope they didn't lie.

An absolute load of crock.
Already obtained matter 1.3 certification - specification was released May 2024 - it's taken that long to get certification for something which was already promised prior to customers purchasing? Bs!
"ensure cross-platform compatibility through technical adaptations with major smart ecosystems (e.g., Amazon Alexa, Google Home, etc.)"
What exactly are you testing that's taking this long? That the watts/kwh reading is accurate? Does that actually take months/almost a year to do?
I wouldn't be believing a word that comes out of tp-links mouths, remember, these are the same people that said this device was matter capable when you purchased it, assured that it would come last year, and now is saying more bs. Somehow this time they're expected to be trustworthy?

well atleast they used ChatGPT to make something that can be read and whilst it still dangles a carrot, it has no timeframe...
I wonder how other companies managed to get it all done quicker...

Once the firmware is officially released, we will notify you immediately through the following channels:

I've just returned mine to Amazon, outside of the return window but they didn't care, and even arranged collection tomorrow.
What model Meross are people using instead please? I can get some delivered tomorrow and forget all this nonsense :)
I've bought a 4 pack of Meross MSS315 from Amazon for £40 delivered tomorrow.
Thanks

Just emailed support again. I wonder - is this a legal case of deception for mis-selling/false advertising a product ?

@MoleCamper some times the easiest explanation is the right one.
TP-Link has made their money here, they don't care about extending functionality for an existing device. They'd prefer make new equipment you need to pay for.
ive returned mine. Complete deceptive practices.

I don't understand the lack of communication. How did we go from "expect the feature by end of 2024" to complete silence and no update? Is this what TP Link is as a company?
