Solution Doorbell Video Call Options For iOS Devices

Users of the Tapo iOS App with Tapo Doorbell
Background
In the recent update, the doorbell video call feature of the doorbell device has been further optimized and enhanced. Unlike the previous push notification format, with this feature enabled, you will now receive a doorbell video call on your phone similar to an incoming phone call. This ensures you won't miss any doorbell rings due to not noticing a push notification.
We also understand that some users prefer the push notification format. Don't worry, you can freely choose whether to enable the doorbell video call feature.
- Android users can adjust the settings via this path: Tapo App -> Doorbell Device Settings page -> Doorbell -> Doorbell Video Call.
On the iOS system, the doorbell video call feature utilizes the iOS CallKit system, the feature on&off control is not allowed on the App level. Therefore, the current form of the doorbell video call feature cannot be disabled. [Workaround available]

In the latest iOS App version 3.7.103, doorbell video supports selecting notification type: Ring Call or Push Notification.

You can try resending the device invitation after the invitee has installed the beta app. If that doesn't work, you may want to wait for the official version to be released, which I understand is already planned.
As for the battery consumption, the camera video quality is adjusted automatically by phone's network condition, higher video quality certainly means more battery consumption. The video quality option is available for the invitee account - tap the camera liveview screen and the toolbar will be shown at the bottom.

@Wayne-TP thats kinda strange, as this is the one device that should have good accessiblity for the entire family. I understand you protect all other devices, but the doorbell should not have this limitations, maybe you can talk with your engineers for a family setting, that when you select this option you as an owner can choose to share/give access to the doorbell(just the doorbell protect all your other stuff) but a doorbell is for every family member, even a kid must be able to answer the doorbell(just make sure the owner stays and has control over whom is able to access the doorbell)

@Wayne-TP This works with an iPhone 15 but does not work with an iPhone 7. The video call options do not come up and you cannot get a live ring call option on an iPhone 7 even with the latest firmware installed

Is your Tapo app updated? What's the iOS version of the iPhone 7? Do you login Tapo with the owner account?

@Wayne-TP Hi, the video call arrives on multiple iPhones, why does it continue to ring on all of them even when answering from one? So it's very confusing because if my wife and I are at work we don't understand if one of us has responded

@Igoaam here are the steps for iPhone app version 3.10.502
Access your doorbell in Tapo app
click the settings cog in top right
Click on doorbell
click on doorbell video call
choose ring call or push notification
