Hi, I recently add a t100 motion sensor to my tapo system. But led light on the sensor is always  on  straight from the box. Changed the battery tried to reset multiple times but nothing worked. No blink once. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Did you purchase a brand new item or a used one? If it is brand new, there should normally be a plastic tab inside the sensor that separates the battery. You need to remove this plastic tab for the device to power on, it shouldn't be powered on when just out of the box.

Make the smart button is reset correctly.

If its LED stays solid on instead of blinking, you may try to start the configuration directly, if it works, then it's probably just an abnormal LED issue. Abnormalities in the status of the device's LED indicators generally do not have a significant impact on the product's functionality, but of course you have the option of replacing the product.

To proceed with device warranty, contact retailer or local TP-Link support
