Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.3, 1.5.5, 1.5.7, 1.0.11

Some of my HS200 smart switches versions V2.0 and V5.0 with firmware 1.5.3, 1.5.5, 1.5.7, and 1.0.11 are missing a whole lot of settings in Kasa, most importantly the Auto-Off Timer, which I use with my other switches hardware version 5.26 BTW with firmware 1.0.3

 

I guess this is a hardware version problem, but just to be sure is it possible to be a firmware version issue and is there any fix or workaround without using a 3rd party service?

The firmware versions corresponding to different hardware versions of a product may vary, even for the same model.

 

The auto-off timer feature is indeed available on the HS200 V5.26 only, V2.0 or V5.0 does not support this feature. However, you can make it possible in another way, that is by creating automation.

For example, When HS200 A Turn On, Then Turn Off HS200 A, Delay action 5 Mins.
