KASA smart switch
Two switches are installed, but the third one does not have neutral and ground wires.
There is a video on YouTube that says to connect both Neutral and ground wires together. Is this the right solution?

@4243520 Hey, not an electrician here just "dabble in electrical" so take this with a grain of salt. Although it technically "may work" and "may never cause issues" I think it's important you understand what is going on when you connect the neutral and ground wires of the switch together and join them to the grounding wire/terminal screw inside the electrical box (this is what I assume you meant, pretty sure I saw the same video). Essentially, you are providing the smart Switch circuit with a return path for electricity flowing to the switch, this return path being the ground wire. The reason the switch is able to work is because technically there is not anything different between electricity flowing back to the service panel via the ground wire versus flowing back to the service panel via the neutral, since ground and neutral connections are actually bonded together inside the service panel. HOWEVER, current electrical codes in the US/Canada stipulate the ground wire is not meant to be used as a permanent return path to the service panel during normal operation, it's there to protect your equipment (and more importantly, your life) during a fault condition. Take this into consideration, as yes, maybe it will be fine for many years and you save money on retrofitting a neutral wire into your wall, but on the other hand it's not a risk-free solution and sometimes you can't put a price on peace of mind. Hope this helps, cheers.
