Knowledge Base Can I use Deco as a Thread Border Router?
Now with more and more Deco models start supporting Matter Protocol, the following questions have been asked several times:
Can I use Deco as a Border router?
The short answer is No. When we talk about the “Border router”, it often refers to “Thread Border Router” or “Thread Bridge/ Gateway” that sits on your existing network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, or Ethernet), and relays messages to and from the Thread network.
Deco supports Matter over Wi-Fi/Ethernet but doesn’t support thread. The common Thread Border Routers are Google Nest Hub, Apple HomePod/TV, Amazon Echo, etc.

How to use Deco Matter Protocol?
