Adding this feature would be a huge enhancement to the usefulness of tp-link pan/tilt cameras.

Currently, detection zones are useful only for fixed cameras. For all use cases you can imagine for setting a detection zone, the goal is to neglect whatever happens in some part of the surrounding area within reach of the camera view. I.e. to avoid cars in the street triggering notifications, Instead, this feature currently is implemented as "making the system not responsive to the input of coming from some pixels of the camera's matrix". When the camera moves, those pixels which were capturing the street, now might be capturing part of my garden, and vice-versa. Hence, making the previous detection zone completely inoperative. When implementing the feature improvement, you should keep in mind the goal of detection zones is NOT to make only some pixels of the camera's matrix responsive to detection events, BUT to make some parts of the real world within reach of the camera view enabled for triggering notifications.

  Hello JoMoSo
Thanks you for your message.
As you can see from my original post and all the other people who have asked for the same feature, both in replying in this topic and in several other topics your detection zone functionality is useless in any of your cameras that have pan/tilt functionality.
For these cameras to have any sensible detection zone functionality you need be able to set a detection zone for each individual preset view position, and the detection zone should be disabled if the camera is not in any of these preset view positions.

If you do actually respond to user feedback then you would implement this as it has been widely requested
