Up to now no problem - a motion in the driveway is detected or the tempurture in my greenhouse exceeds a given temp.  Then a script on my server executes - echo -n $CMD | base64 --decode | nc $IP 9999

and a Kasa swtch turns on or a plug turns on heating or cooling.   "CMD" is on or off or status and I can execute scripts as needed.

Now I'm told by Kasa Support that if motion is detected in the driveway I should use my finger on my smartphone and manually turn the lights on.  BS!  So much for "Automation".
