Not being able to differentiate between a system notification sound and that of a home intrusion alert from the Tapo app makes the whole system practically obsolete. Burglaries are very common in my neighborhood, and I constantly have to check my phone whenever I’m away to see if any notifications are serious. I’ve read that some versions of Android can handle this, but on my setup, changing the notification sound for Tapo is impossible.

Setup:

• Tapo T30 kit (fully updated)

• Tapo app on Samsung A25 – One UI 7 / Android 15

I’m really satisfied with the hardware, but with this issue, the system is almost useless.
Please respond as soon as possible.

PS: It’s possible the problem comes from Samsung, but if so, what should I do?

Ok I found the issue. In my setup, by default, the ´Manage notification categories for each app´ is unchecked for some reasons.

So :

1: Go to Settings → Notifications → Advanced settings → turn on Manage notification categories for each app.

2: Go to Settings → Apps → Tapo → Notifications → Notification categories. (Notification categories was hidden prior to that)

Now, I choose and setup a new notification sound for the category ´Miscellaneous´ which covers the notifications triggered by my Tapo action.

  @RonyMontana  this helps,  would be great to have in app though.  Also, hopeful when I install my second doorbell that I can use a different sound between the two.

Sorry but that does not fix the issue. That will only allow you to set a sound for the Tapo App as a whole, It will give you a sound only for tapo , not for an individual camers.
