Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.10

Is there a work around to install the C520WS with Ethernet cable as the connection by WiFi in the location is not great.

 

I have see a work around on the C32OWS  if you connect by WiFi  and i setup plug the Ethernet cable  it takes ver from the WiFi. 

 

I tried this on the C520WS this  turns the Wifi off and the camera is turns off.

 

 This is a replacement and Support  just directs me to the install video.

 

Any  help would be appreciated as  i am still awaiting answers from Tech support and i am sure it will exactly the same watch the video

Do you mean the camera doesn't power on when you switch use the ethernet connection? Is your camera connected to a power source? The standard ethernet connection can only serve as the network connection method for the device, it cannot provide power to the device.

 The c520ws connects with power and wifi, however if i reset to factory setting like the video suggest it will not connect by ethernet. 

The camera receive an ip address from my router but it will not connect to my iphone wifi to complete the connection.

 

My WiFi through out the house but not at the outside location, it is hit or miss.

 

This camera is a replacement for a faulty one purchased last June 24 all that technical say follow the video.

What error did you receive exactly? Please provide a screenshot here.
