Model: Tapo C410
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.23

I have both the c420 and c410.

On the 420 you can't switch off the camera in away mode without removing the back cover on the camera which would result in a notification of motion so the camera can't  be tampered by an intruder. This is perfect.

However with the 410 as the on/off button is on the outside and intruder could switch off the camera even in away mode and render the camera and detection useless. I have tested as such. Just wondering if on an update the camera's on off switch be deactivated while in the away setting or at least receive a notification that the camera has been turned off.

On a seperate note wondering if on the app there could be a way to know if the cameras are set to home or away without checking the settings of each camera....similar to the D  link app

The physical power button cannot be disabled by software control. If you're dealing with a premeditated intruder who can physically access your camera, I strongly recommend you consider an upgrade to your overall security setup, preventing them enter your property in the first place. Because if they can touch the camera, the intruder can simply cover the camera lens instead of trying to find out which camera model you use, and realize there is a power button on its back and learn how to use it (long-press 3s to turn on/off camera).

The camera home/away mode feature is a one tap shortcut that does not have an on/off state. If you are not sure about the status of certain cameras (for example, whether the privacy mode is turned on, whether motion detection is turned on, etc.), you can choose to click again to use home mode or away mode to adjust the camera settings.
