Hi,

Is it possible to set a detection schedule for the tc82 kit cameras.

Google says it is but I am unable to find the settings.

During the day our street is very busy with the cameras been triggered 100+ time a day which is draining the battery pretty quick and as you'd Imagine they aren't easy to reach, obviously nights are a lot quieter with minimal triggers.

The only schedule setting I can find is for the notifications.

Any help would be appreciated

Detection schedule is not supported. You can set a recording schedule instead if you use an SD card for local recording.

As a battery-powered camera, it is not suitable for installation facing busy streets as the camera will still wake up frequently with the PIR sensor. That also consumes battery power.

  @Wayne-TP

Good morning Wayne.

Thank you for the response that's has helped a lot, unfortunately we are unable to relocate the cameras due to the area we need to monitor and the circumstances as to why we have got the cameras.

I will look to installed an ad card as stated, so I suppose my only other question is do they continue to record once the SD card is full (as per what a dash cam does), and how does it affect the cloud subscription?

Thank you

Farrie82.

SD card local recording and Tapo Care cloud recording are separate features, they can work with each other or work independently. The main difference is that sd card recording supports detection and continuous recording while cloud video only records detection videos.

SD card recording supports Loop Recording, that allows new videos will be recorded normally when the sd card is full.
