For the camera C420 and D230 doorbell, the Tapo H200 hub is required to install these devices. If you own a big house and the cameras are going to be installed far away from the hub, you need to consider purchasing more hubs to ensure the cameras are well covered.

Tapo H200 supports ethernet or 2.4GHz WiFi connection (ethernet connection is required in the setup process), you can choose a preferred way to connect it to the router. 

Most smart devices support 2.4GHz wifi while some also offer ethernet connection options. But generally, they do not have any special requirements for the router. You can choose a suitable router that matching with your internet plan.
