Description
If there are significant gaps or uneven surfaces between the floor panels, the vacuum cleaner may experience sudden jumps when moving over these spots.
For example, when the vacuum cleaner cleans wooden floors arranged in horizontal panels while moving vertically.
Solution
1. For the wooden floor, reinforce the loose wooden planks, if any.

If there isn't significant improvement after changing the cleaning direction, please get in touch with the local TP-Link support team for further assistance, device maintenance or a part replacement might be required.
I have the same problem too with my RV30 Max Plus unit. I chased it around for a while trying to video the odd hopping behavior, but it wouldn't cooperate. I am attaching a photo of the tracks left in my carpet (2 separate trails).
I haven't noticed it doing it on the floors so far, only carpet. There is no obvious feature that would initiate the hopping, nor can I see anything that would stop the behavior. It seems to be random and self-correcting. In one of the trails below, the line is perpendicular to the wall, so I assume that happened during a vacuum run. The other trail crossing that trail at an angle, was on a return run, so I don't think it was vacuuming at the time. I hope my photo helps to visualize what's going on.
This unit is totally amazing and reliable. I'm reporting this only as a quirk that others are noticing. If there's anything else that I could provide to help you analyze this, just ask.
