Model: Tapo C400S2
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have 4 x Tapo C400 cameras which have the alarms turned off in away mode. But for some reason, they keep sounding when they detect someone. Has anyone else had this and if so, what did you do to correct it??

Have you enabled the away mode? Or did you ever enable the home mode to revert the settings? The away mode hasn't been activated when the cameras are added. You will need to click it to enable this mode.

And please note that these two modes won't keep the cameras locked, you can still adjust any camera's settings manually later if needed. I've seen cases where users adjusted the settings of a specific camera after activating the away mode, but then forgot about the changes. Or if the TP-Link account is shared with family members, someone adjusts camera settings without notifying the others. In this case, it makes the camera look like it is exhibiting unexpected behaviors inconsistent with Away Mode.
