Solar Charging?
Hi all
Had my TC82 kit for around 2 weeks now... Everything is working as it should, however I see no solar charging info at all? The camera is in direct sunlight for most or the day, and after putting it up the battery still shows at 100%? So it's got to be charging hasn't it? Just the app says no power supply and no charging history?
Is this right?

'There is no power supply' indicates the camera is not charging at the moment, it is not the information for 'solar panel is not connected'.
To show the solar charging data, the Solar Panel feature should be turned on, and the charging data is shown on the Battery Status page, the Solar Energy Output section. Did you check the information here?
If the camera wasn't used frequently and has low power consumption, you may try to disconnect the solar panel, let the battery drop below 80%, then reconnect the solar panel and observe whether the charging resumes and if charging data appears.

@Wayne-TP thank you for the reply, the camera does wake up very regularly throughout the day/night, has been up a good few weeks now and the solar energy output page shows no activity at all and the battery is still 100!
Ill disconnect the battery like you suggest and see what happens then 👍

Hi, I've also observed an absence of data for solar charging, I think it stopped displaying after the upgrade to the .24 firmware version.

How's the battery consumption? The solar charging data will be affected by the consumption. You can consider this data as the actual battery level increased by solar charging. If the camera's battery consumption is significant, it will reduce this figure. If the energy consumed surpasses the energy generated, the data may display a value of zero.

Hi I've had the solar panel disconnected for the last 10 days and the battery is down to 91% so was going to leave it another week or so until it's down to around 80% then plug the panel back in to see if charging starts.
