Hi Everyone,

My 85yr mother lives in flat and suffer from mental health anxiety about unwanted visitors. I'd like to have a continuous feed video (possible with sound) so she can see if anyone is near the front door.

I can't mount a dedicated camera because of flat block policy. The policy does allow video door bells!

I've ordered a TD21/D210 Tapo Door phone.

If I can get usb power to the doorphone can i continuously stream the video from the camera to an Android app without any user intervention?

I want to fit and almost forget. My mother isn't technical and would probably stuggle tapping anything on screen.

I've got a cheap Android tablet which allows me to turn off the screen timeout.

Continuous live streaming is supported through Tapo app when the mobile device is on the same wifi network as the doorbell.

Tapo D210 is a battery-powered device, in your use case, make sure the charger is plugged in all the time to avoid battery runs out.
