Model: Tapo C510W
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.2

Does Tapo C510W not have AI detection on its detection settings? Also, does it not have a toggle to exclude animals?

I have installed this outdoors to track the motions of workers. But I did not expect it to track the motions of dogs and birds as well, following it wherever it goes, throwing the camera position off. Compared to Tapo C520WS, the detection feature is extremely lacking and inaccurate. Won't there be firmware updates to fix or add these features? Or maybe I am doing something wrong?

Camera features vary between different models. Whether a feature will be supported in the future through firmware update is uncertain. If there are some features you prefer, we recommend purchasing the models that already support them.

Tapo C510W does not support AI tracking, the motion tracking feature will track all the movements within the camera's field of view.

there is such a significant difference between the V1 and V2 as well, you should not be marketing the V2 as a 510 because users like me who already own a V1 will be sadly disappointed in the lack of streams and the inability to use the rtsp stream like the V1 is capable of.

Both Tapo C510W V1 and V2 support the RTSP/ONVIF protocol. If you have any issues with your product's functionality, please start a new discussion focused on the specific problem.

I’ve replied to all the discussions the fit the issues I’ve been receiving as have others with regards to the 510 V2 being completely different in every way from the V1. There is a significant change in the hardware that makes the sub streams problematic to third party viewers. There is no need to start a new discussion at this point. There really needs to be a firmware update to address these issues, but so far the only replies have been “we looked into it and it’s working fine…” well it’s not working fine and everyone isn’t just imagining these issues. The V2 is sub par in every way to the V1.
