BE805 (BE19000) new OTA firmware feedback? (1.2.0 Build 20250304)

Seems that this new auto-update firmware just dropped in the router GUI. I've held off for now:
Update notes say:
Modifications:
Enhanced wireless performance of the device.
Enhanced security of the device.
Fixed some issues with displaying anomalies.
Fixed the issue that the phone associated MLO network abnormality in some cases.
Fixed the issue that IPv6 cannot access the Internet in some cases.
Fixed the issue that wireguard VPN client may not be able to access the Internet after DoT is enabled.
Fixed the issue that the corresponding client cannot access the Internet even after family time is over.
Note: After updating this version, it is not possible to downgrade to a previous firmware version.
Right now I am using three units in my house, all with MU-MIMO turned off (OFMDA only). If I turn that on, all SSIDs can disappear abruptly any time within the next 48 hours. Easymesh is off and will never be used as the entire house is wired. My network has been very stable for the past few months though without MU-MIMO. Not brave enough to try the upgrade, or at least not yet.
Would love to hear from the community if anyone has upgraded and can share their experience thus far.

Hi, to clarify, my android phone drops the SSID 5ghz connection and connect to 2.4ghz which I think is normal. However, when I moved closer and try to connect to SSID 5ghz, it is not visible even I refresh my wifi. I can only connect back after I off/on my wifi in my phone.
To troubleshoot further, last night I powered on an old Iphone11 and put both phones, android + iphone side by side and connect to my SSID-5ghz. And the results is that the iphone is still connected fine and stays with SSID-5ghz but not my Android phone.
So the issue could be my Android phone but it only appeared after this software upgrade.

Firmware version 1.2.0 Build 20250304 rel.55148(5347) is extremely unstable. The router constantly loses the WiFi SSID, making it impossible to connect. I am only using it as an access point, yet it still has persistent issues. This is very disappointing for a TP-Link product. Do you have any update on when these WiFi problems will be fixed?

Hi@SWATerry,
I am sorry to hear the trouble caused by issue.
Did the same situation occur before the firmware update? Or did the problem occur after the firmware update?
How do you need to restore the Wi-Fi connection?
How often does the Wi-Fi disappear? What are the clients?
Please compare whether the Wi-Fi connection can be maintained normally in wireless router mode.

hi there,
the router has been working well for the past few months until I did the firmware upgrade last week. The SSID will disappear every few hours. I will need to power off and on the router to restore the wifi. My phone and windows laptop are not able to connect when the SSID went missing. Currently I have turn off my wifi OFDMA which seem to solve the stability problem.
By the way, could I downgrade to the previous firmware? That version seem to be more stable.

Hi@SWATerry,
Thank you so much for your detailed reply.
Is the network stable now? It is not recommended to downgrade directly to the previous version of the firmware. Can you try to detect whether it can be updated to version 1.2.2 in the update firmware interface?
If the issue persists, please help collect the system logs and backups of the router:
How to view and save System Log of TP-Link wireless router
How to create and restore from a backup file on your TP-Link Router
Please send the backup files and system logs above to email support.forum@tp-link.com, attaching [Forum ID 802890] and details, and we will have a dedicated person to assist in analysis and follow-up.

Thanks for the info. I updated 3 units right now and turned on OFDMAI + MU-MIMO on all of them. Running two SSIDs right now. SSID one has smart connect turned on for both 2.4 and 5 ghz / 6 ghz, SSID two which is for IoT only has 2.4 ghz enabled.
Will observe and hope for the best.

So it may be a little too early to tell as it has only been about 70-72 hours or so since my upgrade.
I usually test my iPhone 16 Pro Max's connectivity with an OpenSpeedTest local server running on a Mac a few times a day. Usual speeds are 1,480 mbps up to 1,600 mbps (MLO turned off, OFDMA + MU-MIMO turned on) which is expected for its performance-capped Wifi 7 chip.
The only odd occurrence I can report so far is that 12 hours or so after I upgraded firmware on all BE19000s, one test yielded a download speed of 1,500 mbps, and an upload speed of just 280 or so mbps. I repeated this a few times. I then switched to my 2.4 ghz IoT network, after which I immediately switched back to the dual 2.4 ghz / 5 ghz "smart connect" network. Running the test again, the upload speed came out as expected once more (1,500+ mbps). I'm not sure what happened here yet. It could be a phone or software issue.
Other than that one time, I've been testing 2-3 times a day and things have been stable thus far. My two SSIDs have not suddenly disappeared. I'll post any relevant updates.
