Hey everyone,

I’m using the Tapo C520WS and I’ve set up a few presets across the 360° pan range. Just wondering is it possible to set a different motion detection zone for each preset view, or is the detection zone the same (fixed) no matter where the camera is pointing?

 

Would be super helpful for monitoring multiple specific areas with different zones.

 

Does it affect Motion tracking

Multiple detection zone is not supported. You can raise a feature request post for it. The product team will review the feature requests regularly, hot topics with detailed background information (e.g. use scenarios, reasons why you want or don't want a certain feature, etc) will be prioritized for evaluation.

 

The detection zone is fixed, it cannot memorize the target object or area and adjust automatically when the camera rotates.

  @Lily_js thanks for bringing this up and posting in the wanted threads +1'd it.

 

Just got the same camera and I was going crazy trying to set different zones for each area including the privacy black out. Seems to me like it's something that should be standard.
