Model: Tapo L530E
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 230823 Rel.162531

Hello,

I'm currently using many Tapo L530 smart bulbs (approximately 50~100 devices) in our environment. However, I'm experiencing the following issues:

Issue:
1. The bulbs frequently disconnect from Wi-Fi and randomly reconnect after some time.
2. Extremely high latency observed (ping response over 500~1000ms occasionally).

Current network environment:
- APs: TP-Link Omada SDN with EAP610 Outdoor and EAP225 Outdoor
- DHCP Lease Time adjusted to 24 hours from default 10 minutes.
- Security: WPA2/WPA3-AES encryption, 2.4 GHz band only.
- RSSI of bulbs around -42 dBm (signal strength is good).
- AP's CPU and Memory usage are low (under 10% CPU and about 50% memory).

Already attempted solutions:
- Increased DHCP Lease time (24 hours)
- Set fixed IPs for each bulb using Omada Controller.
- Channel optimization (channels 1, 6, and 11) performed multiple times.

Questions:
1. What can be the main reasons causing these random disconnections and high latency?
2. What is the recommended Wi-Fi and Omada configuration for using many Tapo smart bulbs simultaneously?
3. Are there any firmware updates or known issues with Tapo L530 causing such problems?

Thanks in advance for any help or recommendations!

Best regards,

No similar feedback received in the community so far. For this issue, you check the congestion level of the 2.4GHz channels in your environment (use some apps like Wi-Fi analyzer), switch to a less congested channel, and set the channel width to 20MHz.

Check if there are any software updates available for the AP device and restart the AP.

Verify whether any QoS-like features are enabled that might be restricting traffic for the bulb devices.

What's the frequency of the wifi disconnection? Do they actually disconnected from wifi or just no responsive to the app control?
