ipad and iphone app - different setup/settings on same user account

I setup all my cameras using the TAPO APP on iphone. Since then I have bought an ipad and find that the settings that I have set using the iphone version of the app are not synced when connecting through TAPO using the ipad. USING THE SAME ACCOUNT.
It's like having two separate users, this is NOT logical or convenient at all.

Home/Away mode is a shortcut that can overwrite multiple camera settings with just one click. Once the changes are done, the camera remains in the same configuration even if you check it from different mobile devices.
The synchronization does not apply to the home/away mode, the feature settings are saved to the current phone and cannot sync across different mobile devices. That's how this feature is at the moment. Here is a relevant feature request post, you can vote for this post and join the discussion. Tapo App - Away Mode - Remember Settings for Device

Hi there, I setup all the settings necessary for it to work as I wanted, through the iphone.
Then months later I tried accessing the cameras from the ipad and it was aware of the cameras. but it didn't have any record of the detection zones and settings, notifications settings, Home and Away configurations, perhaps some others, but can't recall everything, and was asking me to set up the SD card configuration every time I selected a diff camera.
All cameras are c100 or c110, and recently added a c320ws.
Another feature I can't seem to find on the iphone app, is how to switch multiple cams to privicy mode, but it is available on the ipad version.
cheers for any help. CD

Most camera settings are saved to the device itself, while the camera's Home/Away mode will be an exception, the setting does not sync across mobile devices. If this is a feature you often use and need to access on different mobile devices, please configure the same settings on both devices in advance.

Hi there,
okay so why don't the home and away settings sync across two or more devices, that is stupid and illogical.
Why would a user not want to view or change their settings from one or more devices?
Your suggestion to set up each camera separately is not logical.
The reason I use an iphone outdoors is that it is small, but when at home or in the office, I like to use the ipad because the screen is so much bigger.
That is one good reason for having an ipad, the screen size!! Setting up the same settings on the same cameras from each of two or more is ridiculous.
"Most camera settings are saved to the device itself"... ? I disagree.
What about the other settings that are not sync'd, that logically should be, surely the detection zones, detection types, notifications, privacy mode are regularly used options and should be sync'd across devices?
Tapo is a good app don't get me wrong, but come on, this is a basic requirement, all devices logged in to that users account should be sync'd across all the devices that can access the account.
cheers CD
