Tapo C410 KIT battery

Hi, I am just wondering if it is ok for a camera battery to keep it always fully charged by using solar panel. It is like having smartphone or tablet always connected to the charger that is generally not recommended to avoid degradation of a battery life. Is there any good practice for wire-free cameras charged by solar panel? Or just leave it always connected and do not care. Thank you.

Don't worry, Tapo battery-powered has battery protection, there is no problem keeping the solar panel always connected to the camera.
Common behaviors that typically affect battery lifespan include recharging only after fully discharged, or continuing high-power charging input when the battery is nearly full.
What battery protection does is to reduce charging power when the battery is nearly full. Tapo battery camera stays in sleep mode most of the time to conserve battery life, even when it is awake, as long as the camera is not undergoing full charge-discharge cycles (draining the battery completely before recharging), the charge/discharge current from the solar panel is minimal. Therefore, the impact on the battery cells is negligible and can be considered non-damaging.
