I have a request for option to disable switch to actually cut power when pressed. I bought switch S220 to improve 2 issues I had with regular 2 Gang switch in my room. Unfortunately I found one of features I expected is missing. This could be good function also for S210.

My setup, plan and reasoning:

I have Kitchen/Living room open plan room. There is double switch on wall between. One controls Kitchen light (dumb) and other controls Living room light (smart bulb). I replaced switch with S220 to solve 2 issues.

1) Allow control kitchen light by voice when I hold something or have dirty hand. This works perfectly and it's what is switch designed for.

2) Because it's doble switch it was easy to accidentaly cut power to Smart bulb in Living room. This doesn't work as I planned as there is no option to Disable this switch to cut power.

I think this is very reasonable scenario and nothing crazy. As work arround I added automation to switch power back on when switched off. This keeps Smart bulb powered but it's not ideal because it power cycle bulb at it takes few seconds for bulb to come online again and for that reason it's not possible to use that switch also as on/off action for bulb when tapped. I also tried use delayed power off + action to switch on but unfortunately delayed OFF is not terminated by ON command.

I suggest functionality to allow switch to stay always powered or even better to power ON/OFF to be long 5 sec. press as backup when you need actual power off without app. Then I can add command to on/off smart bulb when taped.

I think that all makes sense.
