3 floors to clean - 1 docking station - Tapo SV30 Super Max
Hi,
The model doesn't appear in your forum drop-down options, so I hope this gets read.
The instructions on how to set up different floors are not very comprehensive (which is surprising considering your main setup information is very good).
How do I set up and map my other two floors? I don't want to move the base station from the main floor.
Also, I see a lot of issues with the vacuum not knowing what to do when cleaning a floor with no dock ends. And no, turning it off is not a long-term solution. The whole point is to be able to leave the machine and do something else (like sleep).
I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks

The product model should be Tapo RV30 Max. Do you have an RV30 Max or RV30 Max Plus?
If there are several floors, you can create a new map for each floor. Up to 3 maps can be saved in the Tapo app. When doing the cleaning, you just need to move the robot vacuum to the target floor and then start the cleaning task. The robot vacuum will start self-positioning and find the correct map to use. For the Tapo RV Max series, the robot vacuum will return to the start location when the cleaning is done.

I have this same question. I have 2 floors, with the charging dock on the 2nd floor. I have created a map for both floors, but I can't seem to get the vacuum to finish cleaning the first floor using the map. It runs out of battery before finishing, then tries to find the dock (and can't), so I have to manually move it to the dock. But once it's charged the "cleaning job" is gone and the vacuum has to start all over again. Rinse and repeat.
How do I clean the floor without moving the charging dock to the 1st floor every time? Thanks!

Taking the vacuum cleaner back to the charging dock to recharge means actively ending the current cleaning task, so the vacuum won't continue the last cleaning task when it is fully recharged. However, if the robot vacuum is paused for temporary maintenance, such as changing the mop, emptying the dustbin, or cleaning the wheels, it continues the rest of the task when it is flipped back on.
If the battery isn't enough to clean the whole house, consider separating the rooms into two or three cleaning zones, move the vacuum to recharge before continuing the rest.

@Wayne-TP Thanks for your response. Is it expected the battery should be draining on my RV30 Max Plus about 10% every 100 sq-ft? It considers itself "too low to continue" at 27% battery, so that means the battery only lasts ~750 sq-ft before needing to recharge. That means I'll need 3-4 recharges to cover both floors of my home. :(

The maximum duration depends on your cleaning settings and the cleaning environment. For example, higher suction power consumes more energy. Additionally, changes in the environment can also affect cleaning efficiency. For instance, moving large furniture increases the cleaning area, while more obstacles (such as low furniture or debris tangled in the vacuum) can reduce cleaning efficiency and increase battery usage.
