Model: Tapo C420  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.17.

Camera would not display and video footage or wasn't recording anything for a few days. It also had a firmware update to 1.3 available which I tried to install without any luck. I tried to remove the battery for 5 minutes but still the same. I tried adding the camera to my network but no flashing red and green light. Then tried to reset the camera, I got the red light flashing quickly after holding the reset button but  still no red and green flashing lights after that?

 

Is this device now a brick?

What's camera led status after the quick flashing red? Please try pairing the camera with the hub directly after a reset attempt, in case the LED light is malfunctioning. 

 

If it doesn't work, then device's warranty is required due to reset failure. You may proceed with the retailer or local TP-Link support.
