Connection between a device wired to a wireless device (same Deco unit) is not working
Connection between a device wired to a wireless device (same Deco unit) is not working

I have two Deco units in Router mode. In one of the units I have a PC connected via ethernet (192.168.68.61) and another PC connected wirelessly (192.168.68.63), even though they appear to be in the same subnet there is no connectivity whatsoever (tried ping and SSH, the latter is what I actually need).

@David-TP thanks for the pointers on the use of Guest network. This is now resolved.
For anyone out there who faces this issue. I was using the WiFi Guest network for my wireless device. Seems like there's some isolation mechanism that prevents devices in that network to be able to reach wired devices connected to the Deco even if they are in the same subnet. If you instead use the Main Wifi network instead, wired and wireless devices can reach each other just fin.

@trw5643 Actually, there's no connectivity between wired and wireless devices whatsoever, just connected another machine wirelessly to the Deco unit, got another IP on the same subnet and I can only ping/reach devices that are wirelessly connected to the Deco Unit

@trw5643 Change the subnet mask from 255.255.252.0 to 255.255.255.0 and change the ip range to 192.168.68.100 to 192.168.68.250

@ARGamingPK1 netmask changed, no luck. The IP range (I assume you refer to DHCP range, right?) was already like you mentioned

@trw5643 Are you able to access internet on both wired and wireless devices? 🤔🧐 If not then change the DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

@trw5643 What do u mean no connectivity? Wired and Wireless devices can't see each other in same subnet mask range? And you can't able to ping wireless/wired devices from PC to wireless devices? Have u tried to check ping from PC of Mobile devices? What about Deco App does it show both wired and wireless devices?

@ARGamingPK1 devices connected via ethernet to the Deco can reach internet and see each other. Devices connected via WiFi to the Deco can reach internet and see each other. Devices not sharing the same connection method (wired, wireless) cannot see each other, ping and SSH not working despite no blocking of any sort on the endpoints. All devices, regardless of their way of being connected to the Deco are in the same subnet. Deco App is showing wired and wireless devices yes.

Hi, please make sure "Device Isolation" is disabled on the Deco APP.
If it didn't help, could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with some screenshots of the current Deco network map:
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.
