X50-POE 2x 2.5GE
Hi,
I Have 3 Deco X50-POE bought in a 3-pack.
I Bought it a year ago, all 3 has 1x 2.5GE and 1x 1GE ports.
Recently TP-Link local distributer advertise and sell X50-POE but with 2x 2.5G interfaces, i can't find anything official about this model/revision that has 2x 2.5GE.
Where can i find details about 2x 2.5GE X50-POE and where can i purchase it online (all i can find online is the regular version the same that i have).
Assuming i buy additional unit with 2x 2.5GE ports, should i face any issues connecting it to my existing deco network (in terms of firmware or any other issue)?
Deco X50-POE you have is hardware V1.
Deco X50-POE with two 2.5gigabit Ethernet ports is hardware V2.
Try buying from Amazon, make sure you buy new, sold and shipped by Amazon. I've got mine with two 2.5gigabit ports in December 2024, even while product description on Amazon was saying it has one 1 gigabit and one 2.5gigabit ports.
It was six months ago, just checked and can see that Amazon still hasn't updated product description. I suspect they didn't bother: who would complain of getting better hardware than product description says, also fully backward compatible?
There should not be an issue having both types of X50-POE in your Deco mesh and on your home network.

Hi, the specification and datasheet on the official websites have identified the different port speeds on V2 and V1.
Can you share any link with me that still advertises the mismatched port specification?

Here is mine, from December 2024:
Clearly states two different Ethernet ports, but what I've got is 2.5gigabit both ports. I am not complaining. :)
This is Amazon Canada, product that is new, ships from and sold from Amazon.
Just checked, same mismatched product description today, including large pictures clearly stating one of ports is gigabit.
