Model: Tapo L530E
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.9 Build 240525 Rel. 144922

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Up until yesterday (24th June 2025), my Tapo L350E bulb has worked flawlessly with Google Assistant for on/off, brightness, and color control. However, since then, Google Assistant no longer recognizes the bulb’s color capability. When I ask Google to change the light’s color (e.g., “Set the light to violet”), it responds that the light does not support that functionality — even though it has worked fine for the past year.

Notably, I can still control on/off and brightness through Google Assistant without any issues. Color changes work normally within the Tapo and Google Home app.

Troubleshooting I’ve tried:

✅ Resetting the bulb (multiple times).

✅ Connecting the bulb to a different Wi-Fi router.

✅ Unlinking and re-linking Google to Tapo.

✅ Creating a new tp-link account and re-adding the bulb.

Please advise on how to resolve this issue, or confirm if there is a known problem with Google Assistant integration at this time.
